MAX Video Downloader is built to avoid unnecessary data collection. The extension detects media locally in your browser, and the optional desktop app processes downloads locally on your device.
MAX does not require or provide user accounts. Media detection, processing, settings, and download history are handled locally by the extension or optional desktop app. Information reaches our website or services only when you visit the website, consent to analytics, or choose to contact us or submit feedback. We do not sell personal data.
Extension Data
- The extension observes page and network activity only to detect playable media and present download options.
- Detection data, preferences, settings, and download history are stored locally in your browser. They are not sent to the website as part of normal extension use.
- The extension does not use your browsing activity for advertising, resale, or third-party profiling.
- The optional desktop app is used for local media processing. MAX does not require or provide user accounts.
Browser Permissions & Purpose
These permissions enable media detection and downloads. They are used for product functionality, not for advertising or data resale.

Website Analytics
Analytics storage is denied by default. Measurement that requires analytics consent is enabled only after you accept analytics cookies through the consent banner. The live Google Tag Manager configuration currently loads Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica, and Ahrefs Analytics.
Website analytics are used to understand website use and improve the product. They are not used to sell personal data.
Support and Feedback
When you contact us or submit feedback, we process information you provide and technical information included with the submission. Depending on the report type, this may include your email address, message, page URL, browser information, settings, detected media information, download details, error logs, or other diagnostic context needed to investigate the issue.
This information is used to respond to you, troubleshoot problems, and improve the product. MAX does not transmit your general browsing history as part of normal extension use. Diagnostic information is transmitted when you explicitly submit a report, feedback, or support request.
Data Retention
Local extension data stays in your browser until you clear it or uninstall the extension.
Support and feedback messages are kept only as long as needed to respond, troubleshoot, maintain a useful support history, and improve the product. Website analytics retention is controlled by the configured measurement services and consent settings.
Your Rights
- Access and correction: You can ask what personal data we have about you and request correction if it is inaccurate.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of personal data from support or feedback communications where legally available.
- Local control: You can clear local extension data through your browser or by uninstalling the extension.
Children's Privacy
MAX Video Downloader is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
